friends! the stanley household is currently celebrating big things. not only are we still super excited about winning the tottini gift card, but we're also down twenty-five total pounds since school let out for the summer!

send good thoughts our way. some days are tougher than others. how long can one really spend on the elliptical machine, after all? still, seeing results on the scale and in the mirror is rewarding and very motivating.

i recently finished mark batterson's the circle maker: praying circles around your biggest dreams and greatest fears and shane is about half done with the book. i didn't start reading batterson's work with the intention of it being a weight-loss motivator, but it did just that and more. i wrote about it in more detail here.

no matter what your summer goals, i hope you're finding success. keep at it, and have a great weekend!
